BENJAMIN SHAW
FOUNDER
At six years old, Benjamin saw a production of Rapunzel, which he credits as the moment he fell in love with storytelling. When creating new content and experiences, he is on the hunt for that magical moment when the prince says “Rapunzel, let down your hair…”
Prior to launching Shaw Creative Consulting, Benjamin spent a decade working on Broadway and around the country directing shows like Harry Potter & the Cursed Child, The Glass Menagerie starring Cherry Jones, the annual national tour of Elf, the musical, and Disney Cruise Line’s Beauty & the Beast. As a talent producer and director, he worked on Rufus Wainwright’s residency at London’s Royal Opera House and Jackie Evancho’s solo cabaret debut. Among his favorites projects: feting Angela Lansbury, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and the late, Jessye Norman in honor of the 50th anniversary of Lincoln Center’s Library for the Performing Arts.
Benjamin lives in New York City alone. No husband, no pets.
